This is why FouAnalytics exists: so you don't have to trust the platforms' own reports.
Legacy verification vendors take data from the platforms they're supposed to be checking — Google, Meta, the exchanges — and run their own calculations on it. That produces a report. It doesn't produce independence. They never measured the ad themselves.
FouAnalytics doesn't calculate on someone else's data. It measures every impression directly, with its own tag, before anyone's report gets written. That's impression-level data — not log-level data pulled from a platform after the fact. It's the difference between checking someone's homework and doing the math yourself.
If FouAnalytics didn't measure it, did the Ad even run...
That's measurement-first billing: FouAnalytics as the standard of measurement, and the standard of billing, for every dollar of digital ad spend. Read the MSA boilerplate FouAnalytics released publicly, so any advertiser can put it directly into their own agreements: the MSA boilerplate itself → · why we released it →

"If traffic appears in GA but not in FouAnalytics, that traffic didn't actually occur."
Most analytics platforms are required by internet standards to filter bot traffic — which means you never see it, and you have no independent way to check what's left. FouAnalytics measures every impression directly, as a supplementary layer, revealing every category your existing tools hide: bad bots (red), declared bots (orange), and search crawlers (yellow). That's governance you can act on, not a report you have to trust.
Every visit is measured directly, server-side, using 300+ parameters — not inferred from someone else's log. The classification happens where bots can't observe it, so there's no feedback loop for an attacker to A/B test against.
Two lines of code or Google Tag Manager. No cookies. No PII collected or needed. GDPR conformant by design.
Every visit is classified using 300+ server-side parameters. If three or more red flags are present, the visit is marked dark red — a bot. Red flags include:
UTM parameters are auto-parsed. Trace bot traffic directly back to its paid media source — Facebook, Google, programmatic. Know exactly where your wasted spend is going.

FouAnalytics was built to solve a problem the industry wouldn't. In 2012, founder Dr. Augustine Fou — then at Omnicom — discovered click-through rates greater than 100% in pharmaceutical client campaigns. Fraud hidden by averages, driven by fake sites designed to mimic legitimate publishers. Advertisers assumed their campaigns were performing well. The platforms, adtech vendors, and agencies let them believe it, because it meant they'd keep increasing spend. Existing analytics tools couldn't explain what he was seeing — so he built his own tag.
The platform installs in two lines of code and measures every impression directly — not calculated afterward from someone else's data. No cookies. No PII. GDPR conformant. Every visit is classified using 300+ browser and server-side parameters: blue (human), red (bad bot), orange (declared bot), yellow (search crawler). Classification is deterministic — not probabilistic. It happens server-side, so it cannot be observed by an attacker. There is no feedback loop for bots to A/B test against. UTM parameters are auto-parsed so bot traffic traces directly back to its paid media source.
FouAnalytics has been self-funded since 2012. No VCs. No investors. No board. No quarterly earnings to manage. No financial pressure to soften findings, protect relationships, or hide inconvenient numbers. The platform exists to show what other tools obscure — not to protect the interests of the parties causing the fraud.
That independence starts with how the data is collected, not just who signs the checks. Legacy verification vendors calculate their reports from data the platforms hand them — which makes the platform being measured also the source of the measurement. FouAnalytics never takes that shortcut. It measures every impression itself, directly, before any platform gets to characterize what happened.
Dr. Fou holds a PhD from MIT and has published 1000+ articles and slide decks on ad fraud and digital media governance. FouAnalytics works with advertisers and publishers who actually want to know the truth — and who have the courage to do something when they find it.
